背景设定在原版生化奇兵事件发生大约 10 年后，Rapture 的大厅再次与过去的罪恶相呼应。沿着大西洋海岸线，一个怪物一直在抢夺小女孩，并将她们带回海底城市 Rapture。玩家穿上 Rapture 最具标志性的居民 Big Daddy 的靴子，穿越破旧而美丽的堕落城市，追逐一个看不见的敌人，寻找答案和自己的生存。
